Heart Center Cardiology

Preventive Care

TIME Magazine's cover story of September 1, 2005, was about Heart Disease -- and much was devoted to the various imaging devices on the market. Heart Center Cardiology feels that the EBT Test is the most accurate with the least radiation.

Cardiologist reads EBT results

While most rely on cholesterol levels and treadmill stress tests to determine heart disease, the Heart Center Cardiology cardiologists recommend the EBT (Electron Beam Tomography) test. This non-invasive, two minute test allows experienced cardiologists to determine not only if there is heart disease present, but the extent of the heart disease, allowing patients to take charge of their heart health. Men and women of all ages are welcome to have the test done, though it is highly recommended for those in their 40’s.

Why?

It often takes 20 years for heart disease to fully develop.

This simple test clearly reveals the heart’s health, allowing for early intervention when necessary. That translates to a longer, healthier, better quality of life as we age. Many insurance companies cover this diagnostic procedure and laud it as one of the best tools available for diagnosing heart disease.
